Shari Mona Cinzia (°1994, Stuttgart, Germany) is an artist who works in a variety of media. By examining ambiguity via variations, Mona creates personal moments whereby the energy of a place informs the process of creating an installation that features different media.
By applying abstraction to her paintings and sculptures, she tries to give body to the unknown, the coincidental, the subconscious, the abstract, the pure that cannot yet be described in words, as an expression of self.
Interpretation becomes multifaceted. By applying abstraction and objectifying emotions, she also hopes to increase the dynamic between audience and author, while investigating the duality that develops through different interpretations.
Her works rarely show the completed structure. The near endless possibilities that derive from unfinished-ness, inspire and bother her. By replaying the work for different exhibitions and pushing the evocative power of the work a little further, she tries to focus on the activity of presenting. The first creative process that is the creation of the works as well as the second: the creation of a momentary in the form of an installation are essential to her work.
Mona works in media such as: painting, installation, sculpture, drawing, photography, textile and poetry. While not always visible to the viewer at first glance, many of her works are being informed by her interest in social justice movements and activism.
